Safety

At Union Maintenance we take safety very seriously. Worker protection is paramount. We have a well-defined, comprehensive, safety program that is the key to preventing injuries and illnesses. We engineer safety into all of our workplace activities and strive to motivate our employees to work efficiently while maintaining safety in the forefront. This is what makes our safety program work.

Our safety program includes:

A comprehensive Health and Safety Procedures Manual
A multi-topic training plan that includes three days of annual employee training
Supervisory level safety management training
Several personnel who are Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (Hazwoper) trained
Several personnel who are NFPA Competent Person trained
Comprehensive Safety Program Management ® managed by a full-time safety professional including site audits, records management, corrective action plans, and industry-wide regulatory monitoring
A coordinated safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory, distribution, and maintenance program
